Kerry Wyatt, played by LAURA NORTON in Emmerdale, hasn’t always had the best success with men, but who is the actress actually engaged to?
For the past ten years, Laura Norton has played the fiery Kerry Wyatt in Emmerdale, who is hopelessly in love with Al Chapman (played by Michael Wildman). However, their relationship hasn’t been easy because he cheated on his girlfriend with Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter). Al did attempt to end their relationship with Kerry in order to begin a new one with Chas, but when she rejected him, he pleaded for her pardon, which she sadly granted.
Laura Norton, who plays Kerry Wyatt, is engaged to Mark Jordan, a former Emmerdale actor.
Fans will recall that Jordan played Daz Spencer, Kerry’s fiancé and Dan Spencer’s (Liam Fox) brother.
Jordan first appeared in the cast in 2014 for a brief period of time before doing so permanently a few years later.
Jordan and Norton decided to remain friends after he left, but their friendship gradually developed into something more.
In 2018, Jordan proposed to Norton, and the two later welcomed their son Jesse into the world in 2021.
Norton was the last person to expect any love relationship to emerge between herself and Jordan though.
If you had told me when we first met that we would be a couple and have a child in a few years, I would have said ‘excuse me,’ she quipped to Inside Soap.
Love did not strike at first sight! Due to Mark’s brief stay of only two weeks, we didn’t have much opportunity to get to know one another at initially.
The couple’s relationship may have been “bizarre,” but it is obvious they are in love.
As they recently revealed they are expecting a second child, their family is set to grow a little bit.
Norton uploaded a cute photo of herself and Jordan along with the happy news, revealing her pregnancy to the public.
She simply captioned the picture “Round 2…” with an emoji of a pregnant belly.
Jordan already has two kids from a prior relationship, named Poppy and Joe.
He also paid an homage to Norton on social media, calling her a “wonderful mother.”
“Jesse Poppy and Joe get to join our next trip,” Jordan stated.
