When Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) instructed Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) on Coronation Street to cease writing to Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor), he was never going to stop.
In order to learn more about the murderer’s mental state and whether he regrets killing his mother Natasha, the little boy has started corresponding with him.
When Nick learned what was happening, he was incensed and told Sam that there was no way he could keep writing to Harvey, much less meet him behind bars.
Sam was never going to let Nick influence him, and when he subsequently met up with Hope (Isabella Flanagan), he assured her that he would still continue sending the letters.
The following week, Sam makes the decision to learn more about restorative justice. He informs Roy (David Neilson) of his most recent reading and lets him know that he’d like to visit Harvey in jail and wonders if Roy would join him if Nick continues to say no.
He instantly informs Nick since, after course, this is Roy we’re talking about.
After receiving some food for thought, Leanne approaches Nick and wonders if perhaps they should visit the prison after all since it might be the only way Sam might get closure.
But what choice will Nick make?
