Star of Home and Away Sophie Dillman has made the decision to significantly alter her appearance. The actress, who plays Ziggy Astoni on the programme, has coloured her hair to match the colour of her lover Patrick O’Connor’s (Dean Thompson).
The actress chose to experiment with a short warm, copper hairdo despite being well known for her “Ziggy blonde” hair, which she has maintained since 2017. While some fans adored her new style, others were devastated because it virtually guarantees her departure from the show.
The star’s new haircut was created by former Home and Away makeup and hair artist Ella Jean, who posted a video of the procedure on Instagram.

The actress flashed her copper hair, which wonderfully framed her face, as she grinned.
Emily Weir (Mackenzie Booth), one of Sophie’s co-stars, applauded her for the transformation, calling it “wonderful.”
Georgie Parker (Roo Stewart) chimed in, “That looks BEAUTIFUL.”

Irene Roberts’ character Lynne McGranger remarked, “Just stunning girlie.”
Some of her followers didn’t even recognise the celebrity, but they immediately swamped Instagram with supportive remarks.
Someone commented, “Wow, I didn’t even recognise you, Sophie, so pretty.
Love the new hair you have. You’ve changed so much,” a third person said.
A third person said, “OMG Sophie you look beautiful and the colour suits you so much.”
“That short hairdo looks absolutely stunning on you! Another person added, “Color suits you very well too.
Numerous fans claim to have seen Sophie and Patrick filming a farewell scene at Palm Beach earlier this year, and Lynne appears to have confirmed Sophie and Patrick’s exit from the show.
All indications point to their departure because Sophie dyed her hair copper and Patrick bleached his hair blonde. While under contract, actors are typically not allowed to change their hair, so their new looks have devastated fans.
