Two enduring Australian television programmes have also been mentioned among the many other shocking disclosures in Prince Harry’s explosive biography, Spare.

In his memoir, the Duke of Sussex acknowledged that he had grown up watching Home and Away and the subsequently cancelled Neighbours.

Harry claimed he would spend his time while boarding at Eton watching TV with his schoolmates.

He cited the two long-running Australian series in addition to a few other iconic sitcoms, like Friends.

Nearly every day, just after lunch, he and his friends would go to the TV room and watch a little Home and Away or Neighbours before heading to sports.

On January 10, Prince Harry’s autobiography was released worldwide, and the royal participated in a transatlantic PR blitz that included a number of explosive interviews.

Harry recently made the shocking claim that the monarchy was attempting to “undermine” his explosive biography because its material may have “made them feel uneasy and afraid.”

During an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday, the 38-year-old held nothing back as he took aim at his family. He lurched between slinging further insults at his family and making lighthearted jokes, such as about his “frost-nipped” genitals, while downing a glass of tequila.

Additionally, Harry joined Tom Hanks in a comedy and clinked glasses with Stephen Colbert as he lauded America as a “wonderful place to live” and expressed his appreciation for “beautiful California,” drawing applause from the audience.

Several times, he energised the audience by offering them all tequila, talking about his time in the Army, and enquiring as to whether any veterans were present.

One of the most serious exchanges throughout the protracted interview was Harry criticising his relatives for the negative response to his memoir. Colbert questioned Harry about whether or not he thought the royals were engaged in a “active attempt to destroy this book.”

The duke replied, “Of course,” adding that “the British Press” had also participated in the “campaign,” to which Colbert added, “But helped and encouraged by the Palace.”

Of course, again,” Harry replied.

But isn’t this just the other side of the story? They have now given their account of the events after 38 years. The other side of the tale is as follows.

The father of two subsequently asserted that the reason for what he views as the royals’ “attack” against his memoir is that they are “uncomfortable and terrified” of what is in it.

He continued, “There is a lot in there that, perhaps, makes people feel uneasy and afraid.”
