Their relationship hits the rocks.
There are spoilers for the Australian episode of Home and Away that aired on March 30 that some UK viewers might want to escape.
Following a tragic death in Summer Bay, Mali Hudson and Rose Delaney from Home and Away appear to be facing an unclear future.
In Australia, this week’s episodes showed Xander, Rose’s sibling, inconsolable after Jamie, his coworker, was killed.
A gang of thugs with bats attacked Xander and Jamie while they were both working as paramedics and trying to steal drugs from the ambulance.
Jamie tragically passed away at the scene, but Xander later made a full recovery in the hospital.
In the Australian Channel 7 episode airing on Thursday, Rose resolved to pursue retribution for the assault.
In order to identify the drug dealer who had planned the assault, Rose organised a police sting operation while Xander was still recuperating in the hospital.
Mali, who prioritises family, was shocked by this and believed Rose should be concentrating on remaining by Xander’s bedside.
Mali expressed her concern and inquired, “Why is she putting this case before her brother? It feels like she’s doing it for herself. Was she always like this?” to Rose’s police colleague Cash Newman.
She is very skilled at her job, and I would be doing the same thing, Cash retorted. “In a crisis, yes,” he continued, “so why don’t you just get used to it, mate? It’s all part of dating a cop.”
When Rose’s scheme eventually resulted in an arrest, she was relieved. After that, she was prepared to focus once more on Xander and Mali, whom she had spent the day avoiding.
Unfortunately, Rose soon discovered that Mali had different goals for her after observing her during the distressing events.
I don’t believe you’re who I thought you were, Mali lamented. “I was the one sitting in the hospital with your brother all night. You’ve done nothing but shut me down this whole time, but now it’s all good?”
Mali admitted that he was breaking things off with Rose when she questioned him about it. Is this really the conclusion of their tale?
In May, Channel 5 will air these sequences for Home and Away viewers in the UK.
