On the television show Home and Away, Mackenzie Booth (played by Emily Weir) is delighted to receive a second chance with her ex-fiance, Gabe Miller (Akos Armont). (1:45pm – see our TV Guide for listings).
She is unaware that Gabe is keeping a terrible secret from her.
Non-Hodgkins lymphoma was Gabe’s initial cancer diagnosis, and he now learned that it has returned.
After hearing the SHOCK news, Dr. Bree Cameron (Juliet Godwin) at Northern District Hospital offers Gabe therapeutic services.
However, Gabe appears to have already given up and pledges to Bree that he would keep his diagnosis a secret.
Later on that day, Mackenzie surprises Gabe with a romantic cocktail and asks him to move in with her, which catches him off guard.
Mackenzie feels shocked and bewildered as Gabe rushes off due to his sudden overexcitement.
Will she learn the truth about his situation?
In the wake of her violent husband Jacob’s death and funeral, Bree is still working through her own grief.
Bree realises she needs counselling after what transpired following her encounter with Gabe at the hospital.
Bree is afraid of facing her demons.
However, Remi Carter (Adam Rowland) agrees to help her along the way.
After visiting baby Izzy in the hospital, Ziggy Astoni (Sophie Dillman) is still terrified.
In an effort to shield her kid from illnesses and germs, the new mother switches into overprotective mode.
Dean Thompson (Patrick O’Connor), Ziggy’s boyfriend, worries that she may be going too far with her STRICT guidelines for healthy living.
When Dean learns that Ziggy has recruited a family friend, Marilyn Chambers (Emily Symons), to visit to help “detox” the farmhouse, his expectations that Ziggy will settle down are dashed.
