The statement went on, “Joy will be remembered as an extraordinary businesswoman who collaborated with her husband to create one of the biggest independent production companies in the world, as well as a poet, best-selling author, philanthropist, and actress who won a Logie award.”

The actor made her Neighbours debut in 1986 and her last guest appearance in 2010 while portraying Rosemary. The late actor was honoured by the soap opera stars, with Stefan Dennis calling her “exceptional.”

Dennis posted on Instagram, saying, “When I woke up this morning, I learned of darling Joy’s passing. Very sad.” As a friend and ‘Aunt Rosemary’ on Neighbours, she was a remarkable woman who had a special place in my heart. Joy, may you rest in peace with your closest friend and spouse, Reg. X. Bless you.”

Dennis recently gave a sneak peek at the impending soap opera revival. In the remake of Amazon Freevee, the star will play Paul Robinson once again.

It’s quite encouraging that not much has changed; this bodes well for us. We did wish to return to the same activity,” Dennis jokingly said. It’s precisely the same; we didn’t want Neighbours to completely transform or become excessively Americanized and go bankrupt as a result.”

The old system would remain, they said. Our programme is Australian. Don’t change anything; we’re the quirkier Australian programme, which makes us distinctive and distinct from the rest of the globe,” he continued.
