Fans of EastEnders will recall Simone Lahbib as Katy Lewis last year.
Katy was Tina and Mick Carter’s care worker while they were in care, and she played a role in the emotional abuse plotline.

In EastEnders, what happened to Katy Lewis?
Katy arrived in Walford in November 2020 as Frankie Lewis’ mother and Mick Carter’s former care worker.
In a shocking twist, it was revealed that she had sexually abused Mick when he was only 12 years old, resulting in the birth of Frankie.
It was later revealed that Mick was not the only child abused by Katy, and she also became pregnant with another of the children from the home.
Mick decided to go to the police after learning this, and Katy fled before returning to beg Mick to withdraw his statement for Frankie’s sake.
Mick’s mother Shirley was listening in and then attacked Katie before calling the cops.
Katy pleaded guilty to the charges and was sentenced to ten years in prison as well as indefinite placement on the sex offenders register.
What is Simone Lahbib up to these days?
Simone, 57, was born in Stirling and studied drama at Edinburgh’s Queen Margaret University.
Her film debut came in 1985, when she was cast in The Girl in the Picture, a Glasgow-set film directed by Cary Parker.
Simone has appeared in Taggart, Dangerfield, London Bridge, and the lead role in Bad Girls, in which she played Helen Stewart, in addition to starring in theatre shows.
Other credits include The Young Person’s Guide to Becoming a Rock Star, Family, Fallen, and the new Shetland series.
Simone Lahbib is she married?
Simone Lahbib married Raffaello Degruttola, whom she met on the set of the drama Thief Takers.
They married on May 10, 2003, in her hometown of Stirling, Scotland, and their daughter, Skye Lucia Degruttola, was born in October 2005.
Skye is also an actress who has appeared in films such as Beauty and the Beast and Grantchester.
