Jeff, who portrays Cain Dingle, a favorite of the audience, wed Zoe in 2003. In September 2001, Zoe, who plays Rhona Goskirk in the local soap, joined Jeff, who had joined the show in 2000. The two met in drama school, not on the Emmerdale farm set, despite their reunion. According to The Mirror, they now live with their family in a house in the Yorkshire Dales.
In a previous interview with Soaplife, Jeff said: “I saw Zoe and knew she was the girl for me. We met at drama school in 1994.” Violet and Stan are the names of Jeff and Zoe’s two children.
Hordley made a romantic proposal to Jeff and Zoe in 2003, and they later wed in a low-key ceremony. The sweet engagement tale of the couple involves Jeff popping the question to Zoe the day after she received an honor.
On the same day Jeff proposed to her, she received the Manchester Evening News Theatre Awards’ Best Actress in a Leading Role award.

Vanessa Woodfield’s actress Michelle Hardwick proposed to the show’s producer Kate Brooks in Memphis, Tennessee, using a romantic flash mob.
On Twitter in 2018, Michelle acknowledged their relationship, and they got married the following year. In October of last year, Hardwick gave birth to their first child, Edward Peter Brooks, whom they called Teddy. Michelle revealed the gender of the second child last month.
