In a brand-new Coronation Street spoiler video, Summer (Harriet Bibby) and Aaron (James Craven) learn some terrible realities regarding their decision to have a baby.
After reconsidering a proposal to adopt the child from churchgoers Esther (Vanessa Hehir) and Mike (Tom Lorcan), the young couple has come up with a plan to continue with Summer’s pregnancy.
Summer was offered payment in exchange for the baby by the couple, who are unable to have children of their own.
The teenagers made the decision to have the baby because Aaron’s abusive father needed therapy and they needed to raise money for it.
Though they realise it won’t be as simple as they had imagined to simply hand up the kid, Esther and Mike appear ready to deliver a surprise on the couple.
In the new video clip, Esther admits that adding Mike’s name to the birth certificate would be the only way for them to obtain custody of the child without social services becoming involved.
Aaron remarks on how bizarre the entire thing is, which is understandable given his apparent surprise.
In the end, the two agree that if it’s the only option, they will have to do it.
But are Esther and Mike being honest, or do they have something else on their minds?
