The BBC soap’s heartbreaking plot line in EASTENDERS, which sees Linda Carter potentially losing her daughter Annie, has enraged viewers.
Linda Carter (played by Kellie Bright) and Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks), who set her up, were involved in a car accident, as fans of the BBC soap opera will recall. The EastEnders villain Janine put Linda behind the wheel while empty alcohol bottles were in the back of the vehicle. Linda was warned she might lose custody of baby Annie as she stood up in court to face the repercussions of her actions.

Linda has been heartbroken after learning she might lose her new baby Annie.
Linda testified in court that she was ashamed of her actions and drunk driving but didn’t realize she had been set up.
She received a five-year driving ban, a £1000 fine, and 200 hours of community service.
To his new lover Janine’s dismay, Mick’s (Danny Dyer) estranged wife Linda has been supported.
Thanks to Janine, social services have since intervened and demanded that baby Annie be taken to the hospital for a checkup.
Linda has argued that she drinks too much and that her daughter is safe, but she has been forewarned that the child may be placed in foster care.
Fans are outraged by the plot and have vented their rage on Twitter about what will happen to Linda and Annie in the future.

193 complaints about the storyline have been made to Ofcom as a result of how upset viewers are with it.
The upcoming scenes in EastEnders will feature Linda confessing her love for Mick, causing more heartbreak for the show’s viewers.
But before they can make up, Janine’s pregnancy with Mick’s child is made public.
Linda will admit that she is still in love with Mick to her best friend Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean).
Because Annie is not his biological child and Mick is committed to being a good father, he might decide he must support Janine instead.
