A new British independent film has cast Jessica Plummer, who starred in EastEnders.
According to Variety, the actress, who is best known for playing Chantelle Atkins, will co-star in the movie Tell That to the Winter Sea with Tamsin Egerton and Bebe Cave.
Tell That to the Winter Sea, a novel by Greta Bellamacina, centres on Scarlet and Jo, two ex-lovers who rejoin at a rural home for Jo’s wedding.
Other characters will be revealed in the rural house in a movie directed by Emmy winner Jaclyn Bethany that examines “the intricacy of female friendship.”
Production on the film will begin in September.
Chantelle, played by Jessica, lost her life in 2020 after being forced into the dishwasher by her violent husband Gray (Toby-Alexander Smith).
She played the lead in the BBC One series The Girl Before last year.
It is based on the same-titled book and centres on a woman named Jane who moves into an incredibly basic home yet is obligated to follow the architect’s guidelines.
