This week on Home and Away, Jacob Cameron (Alex Williams) suffers a horrific demise at the hands of wife Bree (Juliet Godwin), who uses a shovel to strike him in an effort to get away from him.
As viewers are aware, Bree has been living in constant fear of Jacob, who showed up in Summer Bay last year and swiftly revealed his abhorrent and vicious character.
To Bree’s dismay, Jacob vanished last month. Remi Carter (Adam Rowland) made the decision to stay with Bree in her hotel room as they investigated Jacob’s disappearance.
They got closer as a result. Bree resolved to split from Jacob and start dating Remi, but Jacob later returned to the Bay determined to exact revenge.
Bree was abducted by the abuser before Remi was taken hostage, and Bree chose to risk her own safety in order to save her new lover by fleeing with Jacob.
In an effort to avoid danger, Bree appeared to love seeing Jacob again, but the truth about their relationship with Remi is eventually uncovered, putting the doctor in grave danger.
On the Channel 5 soap opera on Thursday, March 9, Bree courageously maintains her ground in the face of bullying, showing Jacob how she feels about him. Jacob retaliates violently, knocking Bree to the ground.
Bree awakens to the horrifying sight of Jacob excavating a hole the size of a cemetery. Desperate to get away from the abuser, she creeps up behind him and assaults him with a shovel.
After the doctor calls the emergency services, Luke Van Os’s character Xander Delaney (who has already pronounced Jacob dead) arrives on the scene, but it’s too late.
