In order to collaborate on an art exhibition with his friend and fellow photographer Emmett Ellison, the photographer moved to New York last year from Summer Bay.
Bella surprises Dean Thompson (Patrick O’Connor) and Ziggy Astoni (Sophie Dillman) by showing up on their doorstep without warning!
It turns out that the show is now over, so Bella gets some free time to see Dean and Ziggy and meet newborn Izzy in person.
The reunion of Dean and Ziggy with Bella causes some awkwardness when Bella runs into her ex-boyfriend Nikau Parata. (Kawakawa Fox-Reo).
After he unexpectedly broke up with her over the phone, Bella is extremely direct and makes it apparent that she has gone on with her life.
Has Nikau destroyed his opportunity to get in touch with Bella?
Gabe Miller’s (Akos Armont) cancer diagnosis has Mackenzie Booth (Emily Weir) in convulsions.
She was unaware that he was in remission.
Gabe acknowledges he didn’t want to bother her because he thought he had kicked it.
Gabe’s choice to forgo further medical treatment, however, comes as a further painful blow to Mackenzie.
Does he really intend to surrender without a struggle?
Mackenzie conducts some study on potential therapies.

There is a titanic conflict between John Palmer and Alf Stewart (Ray Meagher). (Shane Withington).
After Alf accused John of being useless and inept in an email to the Surf Club Committee, John felt hurt and ashamed.
Marilyn Chambers (Emily Symons) and Roo (Georgie Parker), Alf’s daughter, attempt to mediate the conflict between the two men.
But after being named and embarrassed, John is upset and threatens to report Alf to the police for harassment and slander!
