As she struggles with PTSD in the wake of the terrifying car catastrophe that abruptly ended her wedding day, Felicity (Jacqui Purvis) continues to suffer in silence.

Despite knowing that the brakelines had been intentionally cut, Flick has recently begun blaming herself for the accident that put her bridesmaid Eden (Stephanie Panozzo) in a coma for several weeks. Eden would never have been behind the wheel if she hadn’t momentarily experienced second thoughts.

Flick believed her brother was also holding her responsible for Eden’s condition when Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) moved his possessions out of the house on Tane’s (Ethan Browne) orders after learning the cause of the collision was the bikie gang’s desire to kill Cash. On that particular day, Flick stole a whisky bottle from Salt’s back bar and took it into the storeroom.

Since then, Flick’s family members have been blissfully oblivious of her use of alcohol to get through the day. Before meeting Tane, she even masked her tracks by using breath freshener.

According to Jacqui, “Flick survived the crash, but now that the dust has cleared, the mental damage hits her.” She feels responsible for the accident and uses alcohol to dull her guilt and sadness.

Flick appears to be returning to her old ways with a wild party this week despite having made great strides with her mental health since relocating to Summer Bay.

Cash is depressed after he realised he was in love with Eden after all because Eden woke up with selective memory loss, which just so happened to erase all of their previous will they/won’t they moments.

Flick recommends a party to the two siblings while they mope around Salt, but she has no intention of doing things half-heartedly.

The moment Tane arrives back at the Parata home the following day, there is complete chaos. The swimming pool is packed with people while a DJ blasts music, thanks in large part to Flick’s effective use of her hospitality abilities.

Tane naturally wants to know what’s going on, but Flick is already shattered and believes an explanation for the chaos is unnecessary. Flick tells her fiancé to calm down before having a drunken outburst in which she says she isn’t interested in getting married to him after all!

According to Ethan, “Tane has grown more protective of Flick since the crash, but it might end up splitting them.”

Will Tane pay attention to Flick’s advice or will he eventually see that she needs assistance?
