Next week on Home and Away in the UK, Theo learns that Kirby is speaking to Bob behind his back while Roo and Nikau go in quest of a missing Marilyn.
Alf was saddened to find a letter from Marilyn detailing why she had left Summer Bay when he got home after the dramatic events last week that saw Marilyn (Emily Symons) finally turn her back on her long-lost daughter Heather (Sofia Nolan).
Alf now understands why Marilyn made care to give him a very big hug before departing when she had paid a visit to him in the hospital following the medicine Heather had given him that created troubles with his heart.
While local cop Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) was enquiring on behalf of Marilyn’s worried pals, he noted that Marilyn had departed on her own volition and wasn’t considered to be missing. Nevertheless, he agreed to conduct some informal research, keeping in mind that he must speak with her in order for her to provide a statement regarding Heather.
Cash’s initial attempts to find activity on her bank cards were unsuccessful, but he later received a CCTV hit that helped him focus his search.
The following week, Cash calls Marilyn and leaves a message warning her that if she doesn’t get in touch with him very away to clarify her statement, he’ll come looking for her. Irene (Lynne McGranger) is relieved when Cash finally lets her know that he has heard from Marilyn, but he is unable to give her the address of her lodging because Maz has made it clear that she doesn’t want communication with anyone.
John and Irene aren’t so sure because Marilyn’s letter sounded rather conclusive, despite Cash’s suggestion that she might just need some time.
Alf’s news must be broken to him, and John is left with the unpleasant responsibility. Alf decides to confront Cash about Marilyn when he soon appears, and he doesn’t mince words!
Cash says, “Like I told the others, my hands are bound,” anticipating being questioned.
Alf snaps, “I don’t give a damn about that. “I simply want to know her location!”
Alf’s rage increases as Cash reiterates that they must accept Marilyn’s desires. Alf grips his chest in agony as Roo (Georgie Parker) runs over to investigate the disturbance.
In an effort to calm Alf down, Nikau (Kawakawa Fox-Reo) and Roo assist him in finding a seat, but Alf won’t stop criticising Cash for keeping Marilyn’s location a secret.
He exclaims, “I’ll hold you personally accountable if anything happens to Marilyn.”
Alf’s diatribe leaves Cash frightened, and he eventually caves by informing Roo that Marilyn is volunteering at a youth shelter in the city. Cash was unaware of how much Marilyn’s disappearance had upset her family.
Later that evening, when Nik stops by the house to see how Alf is doing, he offers to go with Roo to the city. He feels obligated to Marilyn because he trusted Heather’s word over her own.
The following day, Marilyn is shown working in a community kitchen where she feeds a child named Sloane and tries to strike up a conversation with her (Meg Clarke). Sloane, however, is not interested in speaking with a “do-gooder” like Marilyn, claiming that she frequently comes and goes like she is a visitor to a tourist attraction.
Marilyn isn’t too worried about it, though, since Roo and Nik unexpectedly appear behind her. Marilyn tells the couple that she is OK and that they may turn back and go home out of frustration because Cash promised he wouldn’t expose her whereabouts.
Will they be successful in persuading Marilyn to go back home?
