In her scenes with her real-life partner Patrick O’Connor, Home and Away star Sophie Dillman unveiled a cute, hidden Easter egg.
In the soap opera, Ziggy Astoni and Dean Thompson are a couple, and Dillman and O’Connor portray them. Dillman claimed in an interview with Stuff that the Home and Away writers lovingly hide Easter eggs in the programme to make references to her and O’Connor’s actual relationship.
In particular, the writers are making the most of the pregnancy plot that Ziggy and Dean are currently experiencing to acknowledge Dillman and O’Connor for their fans.
“Some of the elements that are present in Paddy and my lives have also been honoured by the writers. Our puppy has the name Winnie, which was one of Dean and Ziggy’s recommended baby names “explained Dillman.
We had a lot of fun playing with that kind of stuff ourselves as well, so it’s really wonderful that they did it for us.
Given that Dillman recently discussed the idea of her and O’Connor having a child of their own, that pregnant plotline may very well be represented in real life as well.
