Remi Carter from Home and Away has begun to question his connection with Bree Cameron as the show’s frightening kidnapping plotline develops.
Remi started dating Bree in the Australian portions of the show last year after helping her get through her struggle with her violent husband Jacob.
The circumstances leading up to the 2022 season finale took a disturbing turn when Jacob returned to Summer Bay and coerced Bree into going with him.
Bree’s location were initially established in the show that aired on Channel 7 in Australia on Wednesday, January 11.
Knowing that the authorities were hunting for him, Jacob was coercing Bree into setting up camp with him in a distant area.
An anxious Remi decided to engage a private investigator in Summer Bay to assist in finding Bree. He was aware that the police were in charge of the case, but he hoped that having another set of eyes might be helpful.
Remi had hoped for a smoother first encounter with the private investigator, but instead he was interrogated about the nature of his relationship with Bree.
The PI, who did not quite believe Remi’s account of the events, noted that Remi would appear to be a resentful ex who cannot accept Bree’s “choice” to go back to her spouse.
Even if this is not the case, Remi began to doubt Bree’s dedication to their relationship and wondered whether her lack of communication was due to her sincere desire to end their relationship.
Kirby Aramoana, Remi’s friend and bandmate from Lyrik, was dubious and prompted him to consider: “She seemed frightened, based on what you told me. Like she had a choice, really.”
Remi answered: “What if she had second thoughts? He claimed that it occurs frequently. Although I didn’t think it was possible, if it is true, she has dumped me. That must imply that she is still alive.”
Bree attempted to jot down a note at the temporary camp site that Remi could someday discover, but Jacob immediately rumbled her in yet another unsettling cliffhanger. Remi obviously gave up on hope way too soon, but what does Bree’s future hold?
In March, Channel 5 will air these moments for Home and Away viewers in the UK.
