Home & Away tops Wednesday with The Bachelors edged again

Wednesday night’s most-watched entertainment programme was Seven’s Home and Away, and the network hailed a share victory.

The Chase Australia came in second for entertainment with 426,000 viewers, bringing in 438,000 metro viewers for Seven.

The Bachelors Australia won the 16-39 age group in the important advertising demos, but Seven News at 6:30 won the 18-49 and 25-54 age groups, drawing 281,000 viewers total.

According to the most recent Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for January 4, Seven News had 1.320 million viewers across all linear platforms, including 30,000 viewers on BVOD and a 3% increase. A repeat of QI on ABC received the largest boost of 8% and attracted a total of 324,000 viewers.

On Wednesday, Seven News ranked first in the metro with 808,000 viewers, followed by Seven News at 6:30 with 799,000 viewers. Nine News at 6:30 attracted 669,000 viewers, while Nine News also attracted 672,000 viewers. A Current Affair attracted 471,000 viewers, followed by ABC News with 525,000.

As previously established, Seven won the overall share race with a share of 30.6% over Nine’s 26.3%. Seven was followed by Ten with a share of 18.2%, and ABC came in last with a share of 15.8%.

Nine came in second with 15.7%, while Seven continued to hold the top primary channel share with 19.7%. On Wednesday, 7TWO had the highest multi-channel rating with a share of 4.8%.

According to the most recent Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for December 8, Seven News had 1.038 million viewers nationwide, including 26,000 on BVOD and a 2% increase, making it the most watched linear show overall. A total of 369,000 people watched Love Island Australia on Nine, with 274,000 of those watching it on BVOD. This was the most successful boost, at 669%.

On Thursday, Seven News had 764,000 metro viewers and was followed by Seven News at 6:30, which had 711,000 metro viewers. Additionally, 609,000 people watched Nine News, while 603,000 watched Nine News at 6:30. A Current Affair attracted 469,000 views, followed by ABC News with 529,000.

As previously established, Nine won the overall share race with a share of 28.4% over Seven’s 26.9%. Nine was followed by ABC with a share of 17.8% and Ten with a share of 17.4%.

However, Seven held on to the top primary channel share with 18.4%, followed by Nine with 17.8%. 7TWO had the highest multi-channel rating on Thursday with a share of 4.1%.
