Lynne McGranger, a seasoned Home & Away actress, has acted in the Australian soap opera for 30 years.
Irene Roberts’ departure from Home & Away, as announced by Lynne, would be very “dramatic,” she has said.
Lynne stated in a Stuff interview:
“I want to leave with a bang and a theatrical exit. I want to get lost at sea or have an extremely terrible, protracted death with everyone around me crying and wailng.
Perhaps Irene may drown at sea, with no one ever discovering her body, a memorial service held in her honour, and then she could simply walk back into town, said Lynne.
Fans of Home & Away shouldn’t worry; Lynne was simply considering her options should she decide to leave the show in the future.
Georgie Parker, Sophie Dillman, and Patrick O’Connor are departing Summer Bay, in contrast to Lynne.
Thankfully, Georgie is only going away for a short while. She will take a seven-week break from the soap opera to perform in the stage production Rhinestone Rex and Miss Monica.
“I need a break for plays… Georgie recently told us, “Channel 7 has always been really kind in letting me do that.
On the other hand, Sophie and Patrick are permanently departing Home & Away. The couple, who are actually dating, both agreed it was time to leave the show and look for new chances.
It was time to start a new chapter because “we have both done everything with our characters,” Sophie told TV Week.
“Sophie and I started on Home & Away when we were 24,” Patrick reaffirmed.
That requires a significant amount of my time and commitment. Throughout the time we were there, I felt like I transformed into six different people. Both as a performer and a person, there has been significant growth. Although it’s a fantastic place to work, I was prepared to go on.
