The Truro performance will include hilarious anecdotes, bloopers, and behind-the-scenes information.
Everyone values excellent neighbours, as was seen when the Australian soap opera was cancelled last year. When it seemed as though we wouldn’t see the Ramsay Street residents again, there was a tremendous outpouring of love and despair.
The TV sensation received a respite, though, and will return in 2023. One of the show’s biggest stars, actor Alan Fletcher, posing as doctor Karl Kennedy, is also making a comeback to British soil.
Later this year, Alan will visit the Hall for Cornwall to commemorate and celebrate Neighbours’ nearly 30-year history as well as to look toward its future. The Doctor Will See You Now takes viewers on a journey through unforgettable storylines, bloopers, behind-the-scenes insights, and the emotional final weeks of filming what was then the show’s final episode before its cast learned it would return with the help of video footage, live musical performances, and hilarious anecdotes.
Fans of Neighbours will be thrilled to find that there will be two meet and greet opportunities with the celebrity when he is in Truro before the show. Hit musicals Take That’s Greatest Days and The Bodyguard, Jimmy Carr’s most recent stand-up performance, and a concert by rock royalty Hawkwind are among the other brand-new productions for the spring season that have been revealed.
Tickets for the June 12 performance of The Doctor Will See You Now go on sale starting on January 23, and Hall for Cornwall members have preferential access already. Visit the website to make a reservation.
