We are extremely happy!

After more than three decades on television, viewers recently said their favourite Australian drama series, Neighbours, farewell.
Yet the adored show is scheduled to return in 2023; who will appear in the new season?

We really doubt any of these A-listers, who previously appeared on the show and included Margot Robbie, Liam Hemsworth, and Kylie Minogue, will return.
Yet many of our cherished Ramsay Street residents, like Jackie Woodburne as Susan Kennedy, Alan Fletcher as Karl Kennedy, Ryan Moloney as Toadie Rebecchi, and Stefan Dennis as Paul Robinson, will be back.
Georgie Stone, who portrayed Mackenzie Hargreaves, recently announced on Instagram that she would be returning to the venerable series.
She wrote, “Ramsay Street here we come… (again!)”
“What a thrill to be returning to Neighbours with these legends; keep tuned!”
Rebekah Elmaloglou, who portrayed Terese Willis in the reboot, Tim Kano, who played Leo Tanaka, and Annie Jones are all back.
A guest appearance by Melissa Bell and April Rose Pengilly as Chloe Brennan has been confirmed.
Network 10 has not yet announced which other characters will make a comeback. As many previous actors admitted on Instagram that they were not aware of Neighbours’s return.

Matt Wilson as Aaron Brennan and Takaya Honda as David Tanaka are two examples of cast members that were kept in the dark.
On the plus side, Jodi Gordon, a previous cast member, gave a strong hint regarding her “comeback” to the show on Studio 10 and it appears that discussions ARE happening behind the scenes.
With a large grin on her face, Jodi said to hosts Angela Bishop, Tristan MacManus, and Narelda Jacobs, “There are dialogues going.”
While Amazon Freeview and Prime Video will once again be Neighbours’ foreign partners, Network 10 will continue to hold the first-run broadcast rights in Australia.
Beverley McGravey, executive vice president and chief creative officer of Paramount Australia and New Zealand, admitted the cast and crew held out hope the show will come back.

“We are beyond thrilled to welcome Neighbours back to Network 10 and, while we loved the finale earlier this year and appreciated the incredible support from the cast, crew, and fans, we continued to hold a small glimmer of hope that one day it would be possible to resume the series,” said Network 10 in a statement.
The production for this fantastic series will start the next year, according to Greg Woods, CEO of Fremantle Australia.
“Neighbours, along with our collaborators, will open up new opportunities on both sides of the camera. Neighbours has been extremely significant for the Victorian production community. We are eager to get going.”
