After being declined a role in the planned relaunch of Neighbours, former Neighbours actress April Rose Pengilly has subtly criticised the show’s creators.
On Thursday, April, 34, discussed the casting on Instagram and shared a few behind-the-scenes videos from her time on the set.
The actor, who performed the role of Chloe Brennan for four years, stated that she was unsure of which characters would be back in 2019.

Who is anticipating the upcoming season of Neighbors? April penned.
She continued, “Aside from the four who were first publicised, we don’t know who will be asked back yet.” She said she hadn’t received the call-up.
Channel 5 in the United Kingdom concluded early this year that the long-running soap series was not worth supporting. In July, the final episode aired.

Months later, however, in an unexpected turn of events, production company Fremantle agreed to work with a new broadcast partner—the streaming service Amazon Freevee.
Early next year, the series will resume filming there.
Ryan Moloney (Toadfish Rebecchi), Stefan Dennis (Paul Robinson), Jackie Woodburne (Susan Kennedy), and Alan Fletcher (Dr. Karl Kennedy) have all agreed to return in their respective roles.

But according to April, no other actors have been contacted.
Several cast members, including Georgia Stone (Mackenzie Hargreaves), Matty Wilson (Aaron Brennan), and Takaya Honda (David Tanaka), expressed surprise when the Amazon relaunch was revealed because they hadn’t been informed beforehand.
Greg Woods, Chief Executive Officer of Fremantle Australia, stated in a news statement dated mid-November that the writers will begin plotting fresh plots right away.
Fans worried that their favourite characters might not make it into the new chapter, though.
