Fans of the BBC One soap opera EastEnders believe they know who the real killer is, with the Christmas murder mystery just a few weeks away.
Fans of EastEnders are forecasting that Sharon Watts (played by Letitia Dean) will be at the center of all the drama, even though none of the six suspects will actually commit the murder at Christmas.
In February, fans of the well-liked BBC One soap opera witnessed a thrilling time travel to December 25, 2023, where a scene revealed someone had died in The Queen Vic.
A dead body was found on the floor of the pub, and viewers saw glimpses of Denise Fox (Diane Parish), Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner), Linda Carter (Kelly Bright), Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth), Sharon, and Suki Kaur Panesar (Balvinder Sopal).
For most of the year, there has been an intriguing “whodunit” in which the victim’s true identity has remained a mystery.
Nevertheless, some EastEnders viewers are certain that Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) is the corpse because they’ve noticed significant hints suggesting Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) will murder him.
Recent episodes of EastEnders have disclosed that Keanu is not the biological father of Albie, the young son of Sharon; rather, Phil is the child’s real father.
The startling revelation was made after Keanu had staged Albie’s fictitious kidnapping in order to hurt Sharon, before the two had called it quits and become engaged.
However, Keanu is also aware that, just prior to his marriage to Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace), his adversary Phil had an affair with Emma Harding (Patsy Kensit).
Fans claim that Phil will kill Keanu for revenge at Christmas after finally realizing he is Albie’s father, paying a £50,000 ransom for the toddler, and being found out about his affair with Emma.
One person on Reddit commented, “Keanu will be the body. He is concerned that Phil will cut him out of Albie’s life and tell Kat about the affair, which is why he will discover on his wedding day that Albie is Phil’s.
“After being exposed, he confronts Karen about why she withheld the information from him, loses it, and becomes furious in the Vic on his wedding day. In order to protect Sharon, Karen flees as Phil murders Keanu.”
Taking to X, @griannedoherty made the following prediction: “OMG Phil’s face when he realizes he fully unintentionally paid the Taylors $50,000 for his own son’s safe return? If Keanu wasn’t already a walking corpse, he most certainly is now. When he returned, Phil might have finally let him off the hook, but #EastEnders will only go so far.”
“From the beginning, I felt Dean would be dead by Christmas, but I feel like he’s involved in the Chelsea storyline in 2024,” @natashate1983 continued. It seems like Keanu will win. At the wedding reception, the kidnapping and Albie’s father will come to light.”
