Alf’s (Ray Meagher) life is in danger this week on Home and Away as Heather (Sofia Nolan) keeps up her sick hostage plot.
Roo (Georgie Parker), Irene (Lynne McGranger), and Leah (Ada Nicodemou) implore Heather to let them call for help while the Summer Bay favourite battles to breathe, but she refuses. Marilyn’s (Emily Symons) pals will all accuse her mother of placing them in this situation if Alf worsens, which is exactly what she wants.
When Eden (Stephanie Panozzo) learns the truth about Bree’s (Juliet Godwin) husband Jacob, she is incensed (Alex Williams). Bree can’t help but lose control when she encounters him and makes it seem as though she knows everything about his behaviour because she can’t understand why Bree would stay with a violent person. However, when Jacob starts to ruminate about the event, will Bree be the one to ultimately suffer for Eden’s outburst?
Here is the schedule for the week starting on Monday, January 2.
Heather allows the hostage situation to worsen Alf’s health.
The rural property is the scene of Heather’s hostage crisis, and while Irene, Leah, and Marilyn are all afraid, Alf has the most to lose. Due to his poor reaction to the laced beverage, he is now having trouble breathing. Roo and Irene implore Heather to let him go, or at the very least allow them to call for assistance so that he can get medical care. Heather, however, is convinced that Marilyn must pay for her wrongdoings, and if doing so means allowing Alf’s condition to deteriorate, then she believes the group will place the burden on Marilyn – as her mother rightfully should…
Following Heather’s balcony fall, Marilyn suffers from trauma.
When Justin can’t reach Leah and no one shows up for work at the Diner, he realises she and her pals are in danger. He calls the police, but Heather pulls Marilyn up to a balcony on the second story when she hears distant sirens. Although Cash is closing in quickly, he finds it difficult to convince Heather to come down through negotiation. Heather retreats even deeper, but then her foot slips. Marilyn is grabbed by Cash, but when the two glance over the edge, they discover Heather lying on the ground, crumpled. Has she recovered from her fall?
Eden agitates Jacob during a heated exchange.
During the filming of their music video, Eden and Remi’s tensions are at an all-time high, but during a break, Remi’s personal stress explodes, and he confesses what’s going on between Bree and Jacob. Eden sets aside her differences with Remi in order to stand behind her friend. They are having pizza for a post-video debriefing when they come across a hostile Jacob. Eden yells at Jacob to stop and hints that she knows what he’s capable of in an uncontrollable manner. Remi pulls Eden away, startled. Has she just caused Bree trouble?

After Heather’s hostage-taking scheme, Marilyn is overcome with guilt and regret. Marilyn is feeling responsible for all the suffering Heather has caused as she cares for her daughter at the hospital bedside and observes her traumatised friends surrounding her, still standing by her despite everything she feels she has led them to go through. She determines that her only choice is to leave the Bay, so she leaves only a note for Alf before leaving. Her friends, however, are shocked and demand that Cash find her and bring her home right away. Cash cautions that she might not want to be located, but John threatens to file a missing person’s report for Marilyn. Will Cash start looking into Marilyn’s location as a result of this?
Remi is instructed by Bree to avoid her while Jacob continues to abuse her.

After his altercation with Eden, who made it appear that she knew the truth about his aggression, and Remi, he is still fuming. Bree becomes terrified as she wonders if he will vent his wrath on her. The following day, Bree delivers a warning to Remi at his door. He must leave her life alone! Remi notices that she’s been harmed once more as she whimpers in pain.

Eden is horrified when Kirby admits that she is considering it. Will Theo’s girlfriend visit her ex-boyfriend in secret?
