Sam, a young character on Coronation Street played by Jude Riordan, has been writing letters to Harvey Gaskell, portrayed by Will Mellor, in an effort to learn why he killed his mother Natasha Blakeman (Rachel Leskovac). According to official spoilers, Leanne (Jane Danson) and Nick (Ben Price) eventually learn that Sam has been writing to Harvey and are devastated to learn the real reason.

Upcoming scenes show Nick and Sam getting ready to commemorate Natasha’s passing, but Leanne decides to go see Harvey in jail after receiving a strange letter from him.

When Harvey tells Leanne that Sam has been the one writing the letters all along during the visit and that he wants Sam to stop, Leanne is left speechless.

Leanne tells Nick about the information when they get home, and the two decide to ask Sam why he has been sending the letters.

Sam is upset when he says he did it because he wants to know the truth about why Harvey killed Natasha and is afraid of disappointing them.

Nick and Leanne are horrified when Sam says that he will stop writing to Harvey if he can instead visit him in jail.

The child, however, takes a stand and insists that it is not their choice and that he will find a way to carry it out without them.

Later, for Natasha’s memorial lunch, Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls), Gail Platt (Helen Worth), David Platt (Jack P. Shephard), Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien), Leanne, and Sam assemble in the Bistro.

Before explaining to the family that he wants to meet Harvey and find out why he acted the way he did, Nick makes an attempt at a speech that offends his son.

Knowing how much closure could help Nick, could she be the one to take Sam behind his back?

She isn’t Nick’s biological mother, so if she decides to help, she might endanger their relationship.

Although Harvey’s return to Weatherfield has not been confirmed, Super Soap Week is coming up, which could lead to the murderer’s escape from Weatherfield once more.

Many of the locals, including Amy’s (Elle Mulvaney) boyfriend Jacob, are still suffering the effects of his terror (Jack James Ryan).

He was trained to join a county-wide drug gang, and it has only been recently that he has been able to begin a new life on the straight and narrow.

Simon (Alex Bain), one of the targets Harvey made Jacob pursue, was also affected by this.

Will Harvey devastate Weatherfield once more? Has Sam’s tenacity caused him to abandon his criminal ways?
