After Coronation Street actress Claire Sweeney posted a picture to her Instagram account, keen-eyed viewers of the soap opera discovered the significant hint.
It’s possible that Claire Sweeney of Coronation Street unintentionally disclosed the identity of the Rovers Return’s landlord when it reopens.
Fans of the ITV soap opera witnessed the Weatherfield boozer being taken over by Waterfords earlier this year, following Jenny Connor’s (Sally Ann Matthews) financial struggles.
But after the company changed hands, Jenny and the other employees were all fired with little to no warning.
Since then, spectators have watched as the venerable facility closes to usher in a new era of major renovations.
Actress Claire might have revealed who will be the landlord when the Cobbles pub reopens, even though the exact date is still unknown.
The actress, who plays Cassandra “Cassie” Plumer, the newest addition, posted a picture of herself on Instagram, and some keen-eyed fans recognized the name.
Posing outside of the Rovers Return, she was grinning alongside her partner from Dancing on Ice, Colin Grafton.

That said, it didn’t hurt that Jennifer Connor, the last landlady before it was taken over, was listed above the doors.
One astute fan, @rosemarypadgett, questioned in a comment on the picture, “Is Jenny the new landlady?!?” Over the door is her name.
Boss Iain MacLeod hinted that the venerable establishment on the cobblestones might reopen sooner than many fans anticipated.
“It won’t stay closed for that long,” he stated to The Mirror. Actually, on New Year’s Eve, it reopens.
“If the pub’s keys are lost, someone will take action that is, at best, mischievous and, at worst, marginally illegal in order to reopen it.
“It will therefore reopen, but it will do so on the somewhat shaky basis of a criminal act.”
