rural UK from Saint Marie.
Three more actors have joined the cast of the eagerly anticipated Death in Paradise spin-off series Beyond Paradise.
The series has begun filming in South West England, with Kris Marshall and Sally Bretton joined by Felicity Montagu from Bridget Jones’s Diary, former EastEnders actress Zahra Ahmadi, and Derry Girls actor Dylan Llewellyn.
Ahmadi, who is most known for playing Shabnam Masood in Albert Square, has previously appeared in a 2018 episode of Death in Paradise. She will portray DS Esther Williams, a different role.
PC Kelby Hartford has been portrayed by Llewellyn. Prior to playing James in Derry Girls on Channel 4, which ended earlier this year, he played Jono in Hollyoaks.
Margo Martins, an office support civilian, will be portrayed by Montagu.
After working together on Death in Paradise, Kris Marshall and Sally Bretton are reunited in Beyond Paradise. This spin-off series will explore how Humphrey came to seek Martha and family life back in the UK after leaving the isle of Saint Marie. As the new couple adjusts to life in rural Britain.
When crimes start to occur, Humphrey realises the area has an unexpectedly high crime rate, which disrupts his calm life. A new case will be a challenge to him and his crew every week.
If you’re a fan of Death in Paradise, Marshall recently hinted, “It’s precisely what you dream for.” “It is in its own paradise, despite not being in the Caribbean. It has a brand-new spin of its own.”
Although a release date for the spin-off has not yet been set, this year’s Death in Paradise Christmas special, which was written and directed by Ruth Carney, will screen. After the most recent season of the programme ended in February of last year, current Saint Marie detective Ralf Little will play the lead role in the special.
