The most recent episode of the BBC One serial drama, EastEnders, revealed that newbie Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) may not be who we believe he is and that he is not genuinely Ranveer’s (Anil Goutam) son.
The information surfaced during a tense argument with Ranveer, who Ravi believed to be dead.
Viewers are aware that at the end of the last soap opera episode, Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) hit the businessman in the head with a clock when he turned violent and restrained her against her will.
Ravi arrived on the scene and was shocked to see his father ‘dead,’ but after learning that Ranveer had used force and abuse, he made the decision to stand up for Suki and agreed to cover up the crime on her behalf.
Suki quickly left, and Ravi resumed his job. However, as soon as Ranveer regained consciousness, a shocking twist awaited the audience—and Ravi, for that matter.
The sleazy bad guy, however, realized that his son was trying to aid Suki in covering up the crime when he saw him wearing rubber gloves and carrying a cleaning kit.
He thus turned violent, taking hold of Ravi and declaring that he was “done.”
Ravi said, “Dad!” and that’s when Ranveer made a startling announcement.
He said, “Don’t you dare call me [dad]!” I’m not your father, and you know it.
A statement like that angered Ravi, who then retaliated by killing Ranveer. Although that was really shocking, the more important query at hand is: Is Ranveer speaking the truth? Is he not really the father of Ravi?
If that’s the case, who exactly are Ravi’s parents? Could he possibly be Suki’s unacknowledged stepchild?
Given how protective he has been of her in the past, both here and when he called Kheerat (Jaz Deol) out for mistreating her, it would make sense.
Will the Panesar family be the scene of yet another bombshell?
