Sam Gannon, an Emmerdale actor, passed away unexpectedly while visiting family in another country. His family has launched a JustGiving plea to help send his body back to the UK so that he can be laid to rest.
While visiting family in California on Tuesday, August 2nd, Sam Gannon, 31, passed away unexpectedly.
His death’s full circumstances are under investigation, though they are not being looked at suspiciously.
To pay for the return of his remains from the US and his funeral, his family is attempting to fund £17,000. So far, more than £8,000 has been raised.
In the Yorkshire soap opera in 2019, Mr. Gannon portrayed coachman Kev for a horse-drawn carriage.
His relatives referred to him as a “real life Duracell bunny” with a “endless amount of energy and affection” on the JustGiving page.
He was a “son, grandson, brother, uncle, partner and friend,” and he will be “greatly missed by everyone who knew him,” they claimed.
Although they have an aim of £17,000, his family is unsure of the precise cost of the burial and repatriation.
Any additional expenses will be given to a UK organisation that promotes youth theater, a cause that matters to Sam deeply.
Amy Kelly, the sister of Mr. Gannon, also has plans to create a foundation in Sam’s honor to aid those who are in a similar situation to him and require further assistance.
