Next week, Darren, played by Hollyoaks and Home and Away actor Kyle Pryor, will make his debut in the Emmerdale village.
The character of Darren will appear in the following chapter of Vinny’s (Bradley Johnson) plot after he defeats Jimmy (Nick Miles) in a poker game.
He then invites Vinny and Jimmy to join them for a riskier, higher-stakes game while Will (Dean Andrews) watches on, leading to the involvement of additional locals.
Darren joins and agrees to participate as well as Ryan (James Moore), David (Matthew Wolfenden), and Mack (Lawrence Robb) join their neighbours.
But may this game spiral out of control given Vinny’s current mental state following Liv’s (Isobel Steele) death and his history with his gambling-addicted father, Paul?
From 2013 until 2017, Kyle portrayed Nate Cooper in the Australian soap opera Home and Away.
He joined the Hollyoaks cast a year later and plays Laurie Shelby, the bad guy.
Laurie was Sinead O’Connor’s spouse and the vice principal of Hollyoaks High School.
He was accountable for Sinead’s rape, the sexual harassment of Sienna Blake, and the attempted rape of Diane Hutchinson.
Anna Passey, who portrays Sienna in the Channel 4 soap opera, is Kyle’s real-life partner.
Their relationship was officially announced on Anna’s Instagram in 2019.
