Tane (Ethan Browne) has recently been drawn into the criminal underworld as a biker gang has set their sights on him in an effort to recoup the cash that Ari (Rob Kipa-Williams) stole during the armed robbery that landed him in jail years ago.
When the bikies stop talking, Tane starts to worry, and while Nikau (Kawakawa Fox-Reo) is hopeful that they have abandoned their plans to launder money through the gym, Tane isn’t feeling as optimistic. Despite Nikau’s belief that his uncle is making a mistake, he chooses to initiate contact and pressure the gang for information.
In response, Tex (Lucas Lineham) arrives at the gym and informs him that a new employee will start setting up the accounts for their “work” that afternoon. Meanwhile, Rose (Kirsty Marillier) is unable to reach Tex and wonders why he abruptly decided to leave his position at the caravan park.
After finally running into her boyfriend outside the Surf Club, Rose shifts into detective mode when she notices Tex and Tane together and checks his license plate against the police database. When she learns his real name and that he is a member of the biker gang, she is horrified.
She approaches Tane and prods him to disclose the full scheme for money laundering. Her new objective is to bring the gang to justice, but she will need Tane’s assistance. She says she can’t ensure his safety, but would he be willing to pose as someone else for the police instead?
Tane promises to go to any lengths necessary.
Is the danger he is about to face new?
