Since Bree (Juliet Godwin) reported Jacob (Alex Williams) to the police and felt secure enough to begin living life on her terms, Remi (Adam Rowland) and Bree’s bond has grown stronger every day.
Bree is joyful for the first time in a while, and they are drawing attention in the Bay. Not everyone is content, though, since Jacob has quietly arrived in town and is looking for Remi.
Jacob enters Remi’s home after finding it and making sure it’s vacant to discover Remi’s room. He notices Bree’s earrings on the nightstand, the expensive set he bought for her as a gift, and he gets angry. Now that he has definitive proof that Bree is no longer loyal to him, all he cares about is seeing that his warped justice is carried out.
When Bree hears a knock at the door, she is alone in her motel room. Jacob is standing there when she opens the door, shocking her. He quickly makes his way in and overwhelms her despite her attempts to slam the door in his face. Bree immediately shifts into peacekeeping mode, as she has done for years, but Jacob isn’t interested in hearing it because he already has a plan and is following it.
When they depart, he instructs her to begin packing. Bree tries to get him to settle down so they can talk, but it becomes clear very soon that he is not in the mood. As Remi returns home, Kirby (Angelina Thomson) and Theo (Matt Evans) inform him that “a blonde man” had been looking for him.
Remi recognises Jacob’s return as soon as she puts everything together. In addition to breaking the AVO, he is not going to be sincere with Bree.
In an effort to save Bree, Remi dashes towards the hotel room. He enters the room suddenly, but finds her being detained by her spouse. Remi finds himself quickly restrained to a chair after Jacob instructs him to sit down.
Finally meeting the man he feels caused his marriage to fail, Jacob is seeking retribution. He pulls out a hammer and moves closer to Remi.
