On the programme, the actress portrayed Andrea Somers and Dee Bliss.
Madeleine West, an Australian actress most known for her work on Neighbours, recently showcased a significant hair makeover on social media.
The 42-year-old, who portrayed blondes Andrea Somers and Dee Bliss on the show from 2017 to 2020 and 2000 to 2003, respectively, came to Instagram earlier this week to flaunt her new appearance.
Madeleine had been a brunette for the previous five years, but she has since coloured her hair a significantly lighter shade.
“2023! slowly making one’s way into the light from the darkness. Literally,” she wrote in the caption of a selfie of her strawberry blonde hair.
Quickly, Madeleine’s fans congratulated her on her new hairstyle and wished her a happy new year in the comments section.
Beautiful hair and a lovely grin. Welcome the new year! Wow you look wonderful, another person added after the first.
Another said, “Stunner – regardless of hair colour,” to which a third retorted, “You look so gorgeous as a blonde.”
Others, meanwhile, thought that the hair change might be connected to a potential return to Neighbours.
Beautiful as usual! However, is the blonde travelling back to Dee blonde? One supporter enquired.
Another person questioned, “Are you going blonde again since you’re returning to Neighbours in 2023?”
“Should the girls return? “
Just a few months ago, Madeleine aroused speculation about a prospective return to the soap series that served as the springboard for her television career.
Should the girls return? she asked in the caption of an Instagram post featuring her characters Dee and Andrea.
“They didn’t show up for the finale… She said, “Where have they been?” Where have they been? I’d love to know what you think.
Neighbours’ star-studded finale aired in July of last year, but after Fremantle was able to locate a new broadcast partner, it was revealed in November that the show would be making a shocking comeback.
The updated soap will air once more on Channel 10, and viewers in the US and the UK may watch it for free on Amazon Freeview. One week following the free-to-air broadcast on Channel 10, viewers in Australia and New Zealand will also be able to watch the programme ad-free on Prime Video.
