Stu learns the truth about Charlie’s murder

Yasmeen Metcalfe (Shelley King) surmises that she and her daughter Eliza want to keep in touch with Stu but that Stu’s ex-wife Lucy Woodrow (Lynda Rooke) is opposed to it as Stu meets with daughter Bridget (Beth Vyse) in the Rovers. Later, Yasmeen, without telling Lucy, reveals to her granddaughter Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) and to Stu that Bridget and Eliza will be visiting the following day. Although Stu is overjoyed, he’s about to experience a major shock.

Brunch with Yasmeen and Stu is enjoyed by Bridget and Eliza, but when Eliza asks Stu about prison, Bridget finds it too much and leaves for the garden. Following her, Stu consoles her by talking about how angry he was about being imprisoned for a crime he didn’t commit. However, he is soon taken aback by what Bridget has to say.

Dee Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown), who informs Alya that the DNA results are due, leaves a voicemail for her. Alya is shocked when she hears what they say, but she has no idea that Stu already knows the truth and is feeling lighter as Yasmeen struggles with what he’s told her. What actually happened, and how will things be handled?

Max accused as Maria receives new threats

When Max finds out that there are no open spots at Weatherfield High, he is disappointed. Max accuses his new friend Daryan of stealing his spot at the school when it turns out that he will be enrolling there. But before long, Max’s issues will pale in comparison. David (Jack P. Shepherd) is suspicious when Max later refuses to share his laptop after Maria shows him and Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) some recent troll comments that reveal her workplace.

David confides in Shona that he believes Max is responsible in retaliation for Daryan. Max denies having any knowledge of the situation, and Shona is concerned as David vows to confront his son. After being questioned by the police, Max blanks David, and the police soon show up to speak with them. What are they going to say? Is Max at fault, or did David make a serious error?

Evil Harvey haunts Leanne

Harvey sends them both prison visiting orders, which Nick Tilsley (Ben Price), who recently made contact with Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan), evidently thanks to, reveals to a shocked Leanne when Harvey sends him a letter. They consent to not reply, and Nick destroys the letters.

Leanne, however, is having trouble and tells Nick that she is a bundle of nerves, adding that she won’t be able to relax until she understands what Harvey wants. Will they both consent to visit Harvey? What has he to say to them, then? Is he at all sorry for what he did, or does he have something even more evil planned?

Tracy won’t accept Wendy

For his birthday, Wendy gives Ken tickets to a book launch. As Ken and his friend Mary Taylor (Patti Clare) discuss the play, he dashes off in response to a text from Wendy. Tracy is enraged when she realizes what is happening after Mary tells her and Brian Packham (Peter Gunn) that Ken abandoned her and lied to her face. In typical Tracy fashion, Tracy arrives at the book launch and expresses her feelings about Ken and Wendy clearly.

Ken is shocked as the week progresses when Tracy abruptly apologizes for creating a scene on his birthday and offers to make Wendy lunch as a welcome addition to the family. However, as Tracy prepares Deirdre’s specialty stuffed marrow, Ken is furious about his daughter’s cunning scheme! Will Tracy ever relent, or will she be able to reconcile with Wendy?

Fern tricks Bernie

Bernie says she’s taking on an additional cleaning job at an upscale agency to help the family out financially, but Fern shows up and warns her that the agency is shady and she should avoid it. When Fern sends Bernie out for takeout after she is let down, Fern steals a bank statement and a top from Bernie before scurrying out of the house.

When Bernie comes back, she discovers that Fern has vanished, but Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) is dubious because she wonders if Fern even exists. She claims that her mother Bernie is much too old to have a fictional friend, but can Bernie provide evidence that Fern is real? Moreover, did Fern steal her job?

More trouble for Summer and Aaron

Daniel Brocklebank’s character Billy Mayhew and Gareth Pierce’s character Todd Grimshaw offer to check in on Aaron after he receives a barrage of angry texts from his violent father and Summer begs him not to go home. When they come back, they say that Aaron’s father was angry and intoxicated. Aaron is shocked to learn that his father is in the hospital after a fire when the police arrive. Aaron is happy to see his father, Eric, awaken but devastated to learn that he wishes he hadn’t.

Aaron berates himself for leaving his father by himself. Summer begs him to let her help, but he refuses, telling her he must concentrate on his father alone, leaving her heartbroken. She agrees to assist at a charity event as a diversion, but will Summer be able to persuade Aaron to rely on her the same way she had?

Tim slips up over Aggie

Tim feels bad when his wife Sally (Sally Dynevor) surprises him with a night at the Bistro because his gift to her for their anniversary was entirely the work of friend Aggie Bailey (Lorna Laidlaw). Tim agrees to support her and then moves on as he joins Sally for a workout that turns into a passionate relationship. When they arrive at the Bistro, Ed invites them to sit with him and Aggie. When Sally notices Aggie’s necklace and realizes it was a gift from Tim, Aggie feels uncomfortable. Tim types Aggie a secret message but sends it to Sally instead as he realizes she is perplexed by their flirtatious behavior. What is the message, and what response will Sally have?
