Emmerdale theory: April Windsor is not Marlon Dingle’s daughter in devastating twist

In the upcoming episodes of the ITV soap opera EMMERDALE, young April Windsor might make a startling discovery as Marlon Dingle confronts new difficulties in the wake of his stroke earlier this year.

Amelia Flanagan’s character April has recently taken a back seat to the drama on Emmerdale as she assists her father Marlon (Mark Charnock) in his sluggish recovery from his stroke. The kid has also been helping to ensure that Rhona Goskirk’s (Zo Henry) wedding day goes off without a hitch since she wants everything to be flawless. She might learn on the ITV soap that the guy who raised her isn’t her biological father, though, once the festivities are done.

The pre-wedding festivities included April joining Rhona, her mother Mary Goskirk (Louise Jameson), and Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) in Wednesday night’s episode of the weekday serial drama.

Nobody was aware that Marlon had become ill and was sitting next to Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) in the waiting room, awaiting the doctors’ release.

When April and Rhona had some alone time later in the evening, the kid said, “I don’t believe I’m going to be able to sleep tonight.”

I don’t think I will, either, Rhona said, adding that she had consumed a number of Prosecco glasses. The schoolgirl said, “I just can’t wait for you to be my actual, real stepmom.”

“It’s only a word, stepmom, isn’t it? Observe, April. I know I’m not your real mother, but I swear I’ll treat you as a real mother would “Rhona tacked on.

The village vet said, “And you and me and Leo and your dad, we’re going to make the most fantastic, special family.”

They shared an embrace as she said, “We’re almost there,” and it seemed like they were going to make the ideal, happy family.

Marlon will eventually walk down the aisle and wed Rhona, despite the fact that he is still in the hospital, according to soap opera spoilers.

They may believe they can finally enjoy a happy life together, but April’s paternity allegations may provide them with their next obstacle.

Ross Kirk (Samuel Anderson), Paddy’s cousin, might witness a social media post about the wedding and notice April all grown up.

Ross may go back to the village and ask Marlon to perform a paternity test with him after realizing she shares some of his physical characteristics.

April will already be aware of the circumstances and will want to know if she is Marlon’s daughter, despite his reluctance.

After not been seen in the hamlet since 2009, Paddy would be enraged with his cousin for showing up and causing commotion.

When Donna Windsor (Verity Rushworth) left the Dales, she did believe Ross might be the child’s father because they had a relationship.

Both men might be surprised to learn that they are not April’s parents when the paternity test results are revealed.

In order to find out who April’s father truly is and who Donna had an affair with all those years ago, this would launch a massive new plot thread.

Could it be that the father of the little schoolgirl will turn out to be another individual already residing in the village?

It’s possible that Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley), who is April’s father, crossed encounters with Donna before moving back to the Dales in 2009.

What will Marlon do if he realizes he was mistaken? Will April want to get to know Cain a little better given that Dingle has been raising the child?

If it were revealed that an affair had occurred, Cain would have had five children, making April his second daughter after Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb).

The Rhona actor, Zo, has already discussed the significance of the child to Marlon and her character, particularly in light of the stroke plot.

Kids are much more adaptive and accepting than we give them credit for, Zo told Express.co.uk and other media.

April is incredibly resilient, strong, and amazing. However, the reality that she lost her own mother cannot be changed.

“So many events are resonating in April. Rhona, however, will simply try her best. Every day brings a fresh obstacle.”

Will they have to deal with the difficult task of saying goodbye to April when she moves in with her birth father or will the child choose to stay with her caregivers?

In her explanation, Zo even made a hint that there will be more challenges to overcome: “I’m sure there will be more hiccups later on.”

Once the finding is made, Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw) might wind up acting as an interim caregiver for his granddaughter.

Even he might be left wondering how Donna came to have three men question whether they are the child’s father.

Will this reveal a different aspect of April’s personality as she grows older and more self-aware?
