James Stewart talks the ”gift of giving” this Christmas

James wants his daughter to understand the true meaning of the holiday season as 2022 comes to a close.

Every parent can relate to the excitement as they peel off the wrapping paper and the joy of seeing what Santa has delivered when they watch their children unwrap their presents on Christmas morning.
The sight is one of the best gifts James Stewart has received this holiday season.
But as his 10-year-old daughter Scout, whom he shares custody of with his ex-partner, the actress Jessica Marais, matures, her appreciation of the holiday transcends worldly possessions.
The 47-year-old tells TV WEEK, “I used to enjoy how amazed she would be to recieve stuff.”
Sometimes she’ll talk through what she’s considering giving, but we’re starting to realise that giving gifts also makes you feel like Christmas. It’s lovely to watch her mature; each Christmas, a little bit changes.

This season offers an opportunity for uninterrupted family time as well as entertainment for everyone. James and his wife Sarah Roberts, who played Willow Harris in H&A, are prepared to enjoy the summer despite their hectic production schedule.
I can’t wait for the vacation my girls and I are taking after Christmas, he exclaims.
But vacations frequently seem a little too brief.
The actor adds he and his castmates are very close, especially Matt Evans and Ray Meagher, with whom he continues to joke throughout our photo shoot, even if there is no immediate plan to return to Summer Bay.
The three of us boys are supposed to reflect the many generations of people who watch our show, he continues.
I gain knowledge from both generations, too. Just from Matt, I’ve picked up so much about music and exercise. I find it inspiring that a person his age can concentrate, listen, speak really well, and be cool! And Ray continues to teach me new things. Because we are from Queensland, we are never at a loss for conversation.

James hopes that as 2022 comes to a close, his daughter will understand the true meaning of the holiday season as well as the gift of giving.
To treat people kindly, he replies with a smile.
