Emmerdale actress Lisa Riley has issued a warning to her fans not to interact with a certain internet post that contains her images because she is the victim of a hoax.

The message, which tries to dupe followers into buying weight-loss goods, was uploaded as a picture on the actress’ Instagram by Mandy Dingle, who she portrays in the ITV soap.

She captioned the image, “Do not open this.”

“I’ve received hundreds of messages indicating that this was sent to them via Facebook and Instagram; do not open it; report it; it is a SCAM!” They want your bank account information. I’m really sorry, but I have no power whatsoever over this. Please understand how furious I am that this is STILL permitted!

In their comments on the article, many of Lisa’s fans thanked her for spreading awareness and argued that it is sad that scams can be put together so quickly, resulting in so many people falling for the fraudulent advertising.

She is unaware that Sandra is stealing money from the tip jar while she is working at the salon, but when will she find out the truth?
