Aaron winces in pain as Paul pulls him back, calling him a “waste of space,” having previously been injured by his violent father.
The young person lashes out and strikes Paul in the face.
Following a conversation between Aaron and Summer in which he discloses additional abuse he has experienced at the hands of his father, there is an assault.
It is obvious that when Aaron and Paul are arguing, Aaron finally loses his cool and tries to defend himself, unintentionally hurting Paul in the process.
Soon to air Coronation Street scenes will show Paul being yelled at by Aaron (James Craven) (Peter Ash).

As Paul enters the apartment to speak with Summer, he confronts Aaron about the drugs he stole from his father (Harriet Bibby).
The man accuses Aaron of giving Summer more drugs when Aaron tries to run away.
