Dotty Cotton of EASTENDERS recently learned that Rocky Cotton was her father, but a new theory contends that her mother was deceiving her.
Dotty Cotton (Milly Zero) was devastated to learn that Rocky Cotton (Brian Conley), not “Nasty” Nick Cotton (John Altman), was Dotty’s father, as revealed by Sandy Gibson (Martha Cope). The distraught EastEnders resident kept the information to herself, but when it is finally made public, will Rocky admit that he is not Dotty’s father after all?
Dotty’s living situation will remain hazy in upcoming episodes.
Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell) causes a mess at Kathy Beale’s (Gillian Wright’s) but mistakenly places the blame on Dotty.
She masks her annoyance but decides she needs to find a new place to live.
Dotty is reminded by Bernie Taylor (Clair Norris) that Sonia Fowler’s (Natalie Cassidy) house is owned by her grandmother, and he advises her to ask to move back in.
But Sonia won’t even think about taking Dotty back into her home.
Rocky receives encouragement from Sonia to speak up for Dotty.
The former con man gets support from Kathy, and he convinces Dotty to stay.
However, when Dotty makes the implication that Rocky is keeping something from her, the mood becomes tense and the situation worsens.
Later, Dotty overhears Rocky discussing a woman he was engaged to but walked out on with Kathy.
Dotty almost interrupts him to tell him the truth but decides against it.
When Ash Panesar (Gurlaine Kaur Garcha) confronts Dotty about what she did to Vinny Panesar, a fight breaks out (Shiv Jalota).
When Rocky and Vinny notice a disturbance, they disperse it.
Vinny, however, loses his cool with Rocky and claims to be Dotty’s real father.
Naturally shocked, the car dealer tries to contact his alleged daughter.
But what if Rocky’s shock is actually a sign that Dotty’s mother must have lied?
Fans of EastEnders will recall how Sandy tricked her daughter to get money for drugs.
Dotty was brutally attacked by Sandy as she left Walford after telling her the truth about her father.
However, given how much her daughter idolizes her father, Sandy might have been lying to hurt Dotty.
Sandy may have been telling the truth when she said that Nick was not Dotty’s father, even though Rocky may not necessarily be Dotty’s father.
Rocky might be aware of Sandy’s extramarital liaisons while she was dating Nick.
Felix Baker (Matthew Morrison) and Finlay Baker (Ashley Byam) discover Dotty has spent the night later in the week.
Bernie urges her to confront Rocky, but will his words leave Dotty speechless?
