Dawn Taylor and Billy Fletcher of Emmerdale want to be the best parents they can be, but according to a new hypothesis their family may be split apart after making a difficult choice.
Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) and Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) told their son Lucas Taylor (Noah Ryan Aspinall) that his half-sister Clemmie Reid (Mabel Addison) is moving in with them on Tuesday night’s episode of Emmerdale. Although Lucas was delighted that the child would be living with him, there is no assurance that they will get along. In the tragic scenes, may Dawn be made to choose between the kids?
Fans of Emmerdale will remember that Dawn and Billy were considering having additional kids, but a shocking turn of events caused the mother-of-one to learn that Lucas had a half-sister, Clemmie.
Lucas’ mother Dawn and adopted father Billy sat him down for a chat about Clemmie in the episode of the serial drama that aired Tuesday night.
They informed him that social services had called them the day before regarding Clemmie.
Is she being allowed to live with us? Lucas’ parents responded.
They certainly are, said Dawn, “at least for the first month or so.”
Lucas questioned why Clemmie couldn’t stay with them indefinitely, and Dawn said that everyone needed to make sure she and Lucas are content.
Lucas graciously told his mother, “Well, I will be [glad] and she can share my toys.”
Dawn warned Lucas that because Clemmie’s mother had passed away, she might not always be in a positive frame of mind.
I just want you to know no matter what happens, you are still the most important person in my life, you got that? She could be a little terrified or furious because everything is so new to her, but I just want to you know that. Dawn questioned Lucas
Lucas stated later in the show that he wanted to organize his playroom before Clemmie arrived.
The police officer was surprised when he told Harriet Finch (Katherine Dow Blyton) that he was looking forward to acquiring a sibling.
When Dawn discovered Harriet had informed social services about her discovery of Clemmie in a filthy home with drugs nearby, she wanted to foster the child and severed her relationship with her.
Dawn argued with Billy as he urged her to make apologies with Harriet, telling him, “I don’t want her anywhere near Clemmie or Lucas, so if you don’t like it you know what you can do.”
Has Harriet truly lost Dawn, or will she eventually chose to hear what she has to say?
For the time being, Dawn is looking forward to facing Clemmie and has more important things to worry about.
Lucas is counting down the seconds till Clemmie moves in with him, but what if things don’t go as to plan?
She will have a duty of care to Clemmie, which will conflict with her desire to prioritize Lucas’s needs, placing her in a challenging situation.
Could a heartbreaking occurrence lead Dawn to choose between the two kids?
