MARK CHARNOCK has been at the center of a heartbreaking storyline in recent months, but how tall is Emmerdale’s Marlon Dingle?
Mark Charnock first appeared on Emmerdale in the 1990s as lovable chef Marlon Dingle and has remained a fan favorite ever since. He hasn’t had much luck with the ladies, as his first marriage to Trisha Dingle (played by Sheree Murphy) ended tragically when she was killed in a storm in 2004. Marlon has had an on-again, off-again relationship with Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) for the past ten years, which culminated last week.
Rhona first appeared in Emmerdale in 2001, but she left the following year, and she didn’t return until 2010.
She and Marlon did date briefly, but Rhona had grown fond of her colleague and Marlon’s friend Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt), with whom she later began a relationship.
Despite the fact that their romance did not last, the three of them have remained close friends on the ITV soap.
Marlon has been married four times in total, the most recently to Rhona after they remarried in 2020.
Sadly, it’s been a difficult time for Marlon and Rhona after the couple got engaged in March.
Just minutes after the proposal while the family were celebrating, Marlon collapsed, changing his life in a few moments.
Following five months of extensive rehabilitation, Marlon has made amazing progress.
So much so, that he was able to walk down the aisle to marry his beloved Rhona.
Mark Charnock, who plays Marlon Dingle in Emmerdale, how tall is he?
According to Celeb Heights, Marlon Dingle star Mark Charnock is 194.3cm tall, which equates to 6ft 4in.
Charnock previously described himself to the Daily Record as “6ft 4 12 in, thin, and geeky.”
He has also mentioned his height on Twitter several times, stating that he is “6ft 4 and a bit.”
Charnock is significantly taller than actress Zoe Henry, who plays his onscreen wife Rhona.
Henry is reportedly 5ft 1in tall, so the distance between the Emmerdale stars is more than a foot.
He is also taller than his male co-stars, including Cain Dingle and Paddy Kirk actors Jeff Hordley and Dominic Brunt, both of whom are 5ft 11in.
Charnock admitted earlier this year that he was concerned about Marlon’s stroke storyline.
“I was really nervous about the reaction because, as we keep saying in all the interviews, no strokes are the same,” Charnock said on This Morning in June.
“I was worried about the online reaction, but it’s been remarkable,” he said.
“Even if Marlon’s stroke was not the same as the stroke they had witnessed or experienced themselves, they could empathize with it.”
