According to EastEnders teasers for the upcoming episode, two inhabitants of Walford may soon experience romantic rekindling.
When it seems as though things are about to take a terrible turn, Lola Pearce and Jay Brown inspire dreams for a reunion.
Will Lola be leaving EastEnders?
Her time on the Square appears to be coming to an end now that Lola is apparently leaving EastEnders later this year.
Lola will die later in 2022 as a result of a severe brain tumour, according to a recent report.
She will, however, apparently first renew her romance with ex-boyfriend Jay Brown. Before breaking up in 2022 as a result of her infidelity with Peter Beale, Jay and Lola dated intermittently for several years.
Jay afterwards started dating Honey Mitchell, with whom he is presently involved. Honey is already concerned that Jay and Lola are spending time together as friends.
And what begins as a joke quickly develops into allegations of a relationship.
Together once more?
While discussing their next date with Frankie at the cafe, Lola and Jay’s passionate “reunion” gets underway. Honey watches the group form their plans with disappointment.
Later, Jay poses as Lola’s boyfriend at Peggy’s to protect her from a drunken harasser.
But word quickly spreads that the two are having an affair as Ash watches them leave the club together.
Rumors spread as Lola and Jay jest about what happened the night before.
Lexi first overhears the two referring to Jay as Lola’s “lover.”
Later, she observes him debating Honey. Will is informed by Lexi, who then informs Jada.
Billy Mitchell attacks Jay in a fit of rage as the rumours get out of hand.
Ash finally confesses to Honey that Jay is having an affair. The charges push Jay and Lola to respond.
When Lola and Jay attempt to correct the error, will Honey and Billy accept their explanations?
Could the allegations result in the couple’s actual reconciliation?
Lola faces impending tragedy.
Even if they do meet up again, Lola’s impending diagnosis will sadly cut short the young couple’s time together.
As a result, Jay will have to care for Lola during her horrible sickness.
Can the couple get along before disaster upends their world?
